Welcome to TONGUE 텅 잠실, an aesthetic café nestled within the buzzing Lotte World Mall in the Songpa District of Seoul. This trendy destination offers a unique blend of culinary artistry and visual appeal, making it a must-visit for those seeking a delightful coffee experience and beautiful pastries.

As you step into TONGUE, you'll be greeted by a space that feels like an art gallery, where delectable breads and pastries are displayed like fine art. The ambiance is vibrant yet cozy, making it a perfect hangout spot for friends or solo visitors who wish to indulge in a sweet escape.

The menu features a range of baked goods, with the croissants taking center stage. Many customers rave about their flavor and artistry, particularly praising the chocolate croissants as a highlight. However, be prepared for a bit of a surprise – some guests like Anna A have noted that not all croissants are sweet; for example, the black croissant offers a unique black pepper flavor that's more akin to savory bread. This delightful twist may not be what you're expecting, but it showcases the café's creative approach to traditional pastries.

For those who favor something sweeter, TONGUE’s juices make for a refreshing complement to your meal – a perfect pairing that enhances the overall experience. Customer Patrick Min reminisces about enjoying some of the best coffee in Seoul during his visit, paired with their creatively delicious cheesecake, making it an ideal choice for dessert.

While reviewing the atmosphere, it’s important to note that some visitors, like Sally Ju, have mentioned issues with seating comfort for extended chats due to the cafe’s design. Moreover, there’s a consensus among several reviews that prices at TONGUE can lean toward the higher side, making it feel akin to dining out at a modest restaurant rather than a casual café. Nonetheless, many agree that the culinary artistry found here may justify that splurge.

If you’re on the lookout for a trendy spot to catch up with a friend or simply enjoy a moment of indulgence amidst a busy shopping day, TONGUE provides not only a feast for your taste buds but also a visual treat that echoes the artistic spirit of Seoul. Just remember, this café is more than a coffee stop; it’s an experience that arouses the senses.

Taste : The croissants and juices were very delicious, especially the chocolate croissants. Space : The space was very trendy and the breads were displayed like art works, so I felt like I came to the art room. Price : The price of the food was expensive, so I only ordered some breads and juice, but it was similar to the price of the restaurant. Recommend : Good to go with a friend or go on a date. The shape of bread is unique, so it’s fun to eat and take a picture

I was really excited to try the croissants as they looked so appealing. However, to my surprise, they weren't sweet at all, and tasted more like bread in the shape of a croissant. It could have been due to my lack of Korean language skills, but the black croissant was actually a bread with black pepper flavor, and the one with black stripes had a bland taste, just like ordinary bread. On the brighter side, their coffee was amazing! I ordered the iced flat white, and it was one of the best coffees I've ever had in Seoul. So, if you visit this place, make sure to try the coffee!

The chair isn't comfortable to sit and talk for a long time. it's over priced as usual like at this mall. however the bakery was tasty.

During our last holiday in the city, we visited an exciting cafe located inside Lotte World Mall. After checking out the mall, we decided to try this cafe and were pleasantly surprised by its coffee. It turned out to be one of the best we had in Seoul. But that's not all; their cheesecake was also very creative and delicious. The cafe's ambiance was unique, with interesting art pieces and baked goods models on display, giving it a mini gallery-like feel. The overall interior style was minimalistic and straightforward, adding to the place's charm. We highly recommend this cafe to those who want to try something unique after checking out this world-class mall.

Part cafe part art gallery. Really nice spot to have a cuppa, cake and chill at Lotte World Mall. The cakes are really unique and tasty.
